Our story
Hello, my name is Silas Robichaud and I am the Owner and Founder of True Alaska Furniture.
Fine woodworking has been a hobby of mine starting way back when I was a small boy. I learned many of my skills from my father who is an incredible craftsman, and was a top notch finish carpenter in his time. I have an absolute passion for what I do, and take pride in every piece that I create, making each one unique and special in its own way. I love the feeling that I get when I see the excitement and appreciation on our clients faces when they lay eyes on their creation for the first time! It is amazing how a new piece of furniture can bring such a warm feeling into your home.
We are a family owned and operated business, we love the outdoors, which is what brought us to Alaska more than 20 years ago. We used to work and live in Alaska seasonally until around 10 years ago, With Alaska being our home in the warmer months and a quiet little town in Mexico during the colder months, we had the best of both worlds! We love to Travel, but with our children growing up, it became more difficult to get away for such extended periods of time, which is why we decided to create True Alaska Furniture. We now live here year round with the exception of a short 3-4 week vacation here and there. We are 100 percent dedicated to providing you with a wonderful experience from the beginning phase of the design work to the final installation, delivery, or pick up of your new furniture.
